Rob Cairns 

Rob Cairns Chair is Chair of Barrow Regeneration and also Chief Executive and Director of Furness Building Society.

Prior to taking this position in 1997 Rob has a long career with the Abbey National, Britannia and Cumberland Building Societies. He has served as an Acting Chairman and Director of West Lakes Renaissance, retiring in 2009 when the Urban Regeneration Company was divided into Barrow Regeneration and Britain’s Energy Coast West Cumbria. Rob is currently a director of Furness Enterprise, Chairman of Barrow Community Trust and a trustee of Cumbria Community Foundation and More Music. Rob also is President of Walney Junior Amateur Operatic Society; an adviser to Barrow AFC and sits on the Cumbria County Cricket Club Committee.
