Euan Cartwright

Euan Cartwright runs his own photography company Euan Cartwright Ltd. He is independent member of the Cumbria Vision Board for the Education, Skills and Research theme.

He is Vice Chair of the Board of the University of Cumbria , having previously chaired the shadow Board which brought the University into being. Euan has been involved in Higher Education in county for 15 years as a governor of the Cumbria Institute of the Arts. He worked for six years as an independent consultant in arts and cultural services and was previously Director of Leisure Services in Carlisle. He also works as a photographer and has recently exhibited at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Euan has worked to bring the cultural and tourism sectors together in Cumbria to improve the opportunities for visitors and resident in the county and to broaden the appeal of the county for tourists and residents – making it easier for employers to attract first rates staff to relocate to Cumbria.

He lives near Brampton and is heavily involved in the life of the local community. He is chair of the Carlisle Ski Club, runs a Badminton Club in Brampton and has been a Governor of William Howard School in Brampton.
