Deborah McLaughlin 

Deborah McLaughlin is Regional Director North West for the Homes and Communities Agency.

Together with local and regional partners, she is responsible for delivering the Government’s national housing and regeneration priorities across the North West. Deborah is a member of the Joint Economic Commission for the North West and is Chair of its Housing Subgroup. She is a Board member of Liverpool Vision, Central Salford, Re-Blackpool and New East Manchester Urban Regeneration Companies. Deborah is also a member of the Regional Strategy Team, the Regional Housing Group and the North West Leadership Group.

Prior to joining HCA, Deborah was Director of Housing for Manchester City Council and was responsible for the City’s strategic housing functions including the delivery of the Decent Homes programme, Supporting People, housing management, homelessness and private sector renewal. Deborah began her career in housing at Manchester City Council in 1986 and gained experience working in both public and private sector housing. She later spent four years working for the Audit Commission (2001 – 2004), latterly as Northern Region Housing Lead.
