Councillor Elaine Woodburn 

Councillor Elaine Woodburn is Leader of Copeland Borough Council.

Elaine has been a councillor for Egremont North for over a decade and has been leader for the past six years. She has responsibility for strategic nuclear issues, finance and major strategic projects.

Elaine is also the council’s representative on the West Cumbria Masterplan Strategic Group, West Cumbria Site Stakeholder Group, Cumbria Strategic Partnership, Local Strategic Partnership, West Cumbria Domestic Violence Group, Cumbria Local Authorities Strategic Board, Joint Leaders Group and is Chair of the Egremont Regeneration Partnership.

In her spare time Elaine enjoys photography and reading.
